The Consumer Product Safety Council of Canada and Health Canada issued a recall of the Blue Ember Gas Grill.
The commission said that the hose of the gas tank may be too close to the fire box, exposed to high temperatures, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

The carnival-based gas grill has received 161 fire reports, injuring nine people.
From November 2006 to June 2008, Blue Ember grills were sold at various home centers and retailers.

The commission asked consumers to stop using the product and call the carnival gas grill for free instructions to replace the oil bottom pan assembly and install replacement parts and gas tanks.
Consumers should also check gas burner hoses and regulators, which will be replaced free of charge if there are signs of damage.
