I had a mini Webb grill that took up space for years.I think this was originally a free thing I got from a friend.I used it once or twice and then it sat in my shed until my friend Dean revised his.This is a great mod.So I recreate it here.Stop if you're using brickets.If you are using a lighter liquid, stop.Even if you don't do this crazy mod, buy a charcoal chimney and start using natural charcoal that is easy to find.The light was very fast (only one newspaper) and it was super hot.The added benefit is that if you just make a small meal, it will reduce the amount of charcoal you need to use by concentrating the heat.You will need:--Old Weber smokejo grill (or equivalent )--Charcoal chimney--Metal Cutting saw-Drill--Metal punch--Welders (optional but very good) you will want to remove all the grilles in the grill and remove the legs (save them and they will be reused ).Pour the bottom of the grill and put the charcoal chimney on it.Outline it with a marker.Use a spring-loaded punch to mark the drill...Using a punch allows the drill to grab something and then work on a smooth metal.Use eye protection.The baked coating (possibly some kind of porcelain) will fly around.Once you poke your hole into a metal blade, then look it out.Cut on the inside of the line you made, as you will want the joint to be tight.My friend Dean blocked him with a torch.Use some kind of grinder to fine-tune the size of the hole.You really don't need to weld this.If you take your time slowly to shape the hole, you can get a very tight fit.The benefit of this is that you can remove it for easier storage.I don't care about this, so I welded it.I clean the metal with a grinder and then let it have some amplifiers.Very ugly welding...I'm not a professional welder.What I really do is stick these two parts together.Evenly separate the legs around the charcoal chimney.Drill the hole out with your punch.Connect the legs and bend them into shape if necessary.The grill can stand well without legs, but the legs add a layer of protection.If you are making something big, the grill may turn over.This prevents this from happening.Put your grill back together and marvel at it.Simple but deadly.Put the chimney on.Put a newspaper under.Light it up.About 15 minutes later...Feel free to add some hardwood floors to your food for a smoky flavor.You can either add it directly to the charcoal or put it on the small grate at the bottom of the grill.When the coal looks as hot as the fire in Hades, put your grill in and cover it.Let it pre-Hot until you dare to heat it up.After being covered for 3 minutes, this arrives at 400F.The highest number of cheap thermometers registered is Proff.Very hot.If you're looking for some super hot heat, grill directly on the lower grate.This will give you "Black and Blue" soon ".Go out and do something now.Try not to burn anything you don't want.
