"In order to avoid the fire getting out of control, we remind everyone that Guelph is not allowed to burn in the open air.
"Although outdoor and recreational fires are prohibited in the city, it is open-
If a person cooks food on a grill or barbecue, allow the air to burn.
"This burning includes a small restricted fire that is always under supervision.
"Once the cooking is done, the fire has to be put out," Osborne said . ".
Cooking fires, he says, do not include roasting marshmallows or hot dogs, which will be seen as entertaining fires.
However, under Ontario fire regulations, propane-

Osborne asked residents to be careful when cooking outdoors because of the wind
The blown residual fire can easily be attached to the nearby grass and other vegetation and will soon be out of control.
