The steak prepared on the gas grill lacks the smoky smell that comes from a charcoal barbecue. However, a combination of appropriate tenderization and seasoning or pickling with the direct barbecue technique on the gas grill will produce a tender and delicious steak.Place a piece of steak on a wood chopping board, slate or other hard surface, and knock four or five times on each side with the bumpy face of the tender meat machine.Repeat all the steaks. For dry-Wipe method, rub seasoning on each side of the pile.Place the meat in a food preservation bag or large bowl and seal the container. For the marinade method, place the steak and 2 cups of marinade per steak in a plastic bag or bowl to seal.Place the seasoned or marinated steak in the fridge for at least three hours so the taste goes into the meat.Spray cooking grate with vegetable oil BBQ spray. This can lubricate the grill to prevent excessive sticking to it and leave good traces of the grill on the meat.By igniting all burners to medium heat and closing the lid to warm up, a gas grill for direct barbecue is set up.Grill tasting, about six minutes of cooking each side, MediumDone well, few or 10 to 12 minutes.
