The first sight is definitely not love.
When Pam and Jon saw their future home in 2009, they were not just a bit inadequatewhelmed.

"When we first saw the house, I thought it was terrible," Pam laughed . ".
But after looking elsewhere for almost a year and finding nothing, she and Jon came back for the second time when the seller cut the price.
"We all love this street and my husband has a viable vision.
He was able to see the bones and potential.
But the young couple face enormous challenges.
Can they turn the dim house into bright light?
Filling their home with their three young children and a lively dog, can they combine Pam's more traditional tastes with Jon's contemporary tendencies? The area on the left side of the foyer was reconfigured and a wall was added to accommodate a powder room, which was lost when the old kitchen was removed.
The wall between the kitchen and the dining room was removed, and the walls of the study were removed, creating an open space and removing the concept of a formal dining room.
The resulting effect is called a "big room" that provides an open and fluid flow from one room to the next.
"I know I want to stand in the kitchen and I want to see my kids play," Pam said . ".

Pam recalled that it took a few days to cut the stone away, but she did not want the sharp edges to compromise the safety of her child.
Once taken apart, the fireplace is transformed into a niche with embedded lighting and refreshed by smooth and smooth wall lines.
Finally, the carpet of the whole house was stripped off and the hardwood floors below were redecorated (replaced in certain areas) to become chocolate-rich.
The stairs were renovated and a children's safety door was neatly integrated into the railing design leading to the basement.
Decorative ceiling and floor molding are installed in each room, and embedded pot lights are installed to complete the appearance.
To tie it all together, Pam hired Lori Anders, an interior designer at Lori Anders design.
"Pam and Jon chose everything, and in their minds they knew they wanted a livable space, but when adults were in it, they don't want it to feel like daycare, says Anders.

The kitchen has an adjoining mud room, adjusted to a long, smooth design with white cabinets, embedded lighting and ultra-modern white hanging Oval fixtures with stainless steel trim.
To maintain a smooth and clean look, solid glass tailgate is selected instead of tiles.
