Stark spent his career in oil and gas, ranching  -  cast iron gas grill
He has been an oil and gas supervisor for 20 years and has grown up obsessed with the vast swathes of land in Texas Hill County and West Texas.
"In the early days of his career, his dream was to live in the mountains, he was a city boy from Dallas, and he was passionate about Texas history and Ranch History, said Dina Stark, Stark's widow.
Stark, 60, died on Saturday.
Vehicle accident
Prior to working in the oil and gas industry, he worked in pasture for more than 10 years.
In 1979, Stark found his first job at Shelton Ranch in Kerville, a graduate of theas finance director and ultimately chief financial officer.
Until 1991, he worked there, when he accepted a job as chief financial officer of legendary YO Ranch, also in Kerrville.
As a young financial Man, ranch life is exactly what he wants.
"When he worked at YO ranch, he said, 'I feel like I'm in the middle of history, and I feel like I'm part of Texas Ranch History," Dina Stark said.
In the end, Stark will switch to the oil and gas industry.
In 1995, Stark served as finance director at Dawson production services.
For the next 20 years Stark lives with his wife and raises two daughters in Bowen, who will hold several finance executive positions in San Antonio
Oil and gas companies.
His last job was as director of environmental and engineering at Flatrock in San Antonio.
Friends and relatives remember Stark as a devout family member.
As daughter Stirling stark couvas recalls, "he may have given the best bear hug in the world.
Dina Stark says her husband is most happy to cook steak with a cast iron frying pan for family and friends while telling stories.
Another characteristic of his cooking is the peach cobbler.
To prove his love for the family, Stark went to Dallas the next day after Christmas to give gifts to his mother.
When his truck got out of control and caused a fatal accident, he hardly started traveling.
"He eats steak in The Snowman (cooler) behind the truck," said Dina Stark . ".
"He had a gift and he played Santa again.
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
